The following precautions will be implemented if recommended by the

CDC and state and local officials. 


We are following the most up to date safety guidelines and recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as well as local and state officials to ensure the safety of our staff, families and organizations in which we serve. In accordance with the guidelines of the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention, local and state officials, our programs have been carefully designed to follow  safety precautions in continuing to bring safe, high quality sports programming to your child. Our team will follow the procedures below as recommended to implement by the CDC for each province: 

  • Verbal health checks for coaches and participants in accordance with symptoms outlined by the CDC (https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/symptoms-testing/symptoms.html)

  • Up to date face covering protocols will be followed as recommended in each province i.e. All coaches will follow sufficient hand washing procedures and utilize hand sanitizer in the absence of soap and water

  • Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) guidelines followed per CDC, state and local guidelines with face coverings required to be worn by all coaches in operating programming.

  • Up to date face covering protocols will be followed as recommended in each province, i.e. Face coverings are required to be worn by all participants 3 years of age or older, *with the exception of a medical waiver

  • Safe physically distanced water breaks and as needed mask breaks will be implemented 

  • No sharing of snacks, lunches etc. at camp(s)

  • Safe physical distancing between coaches and participants as well as between participants utilizing brightly colored cones

  • Consistency in coaches for the duration of program*.

  • Sufficient disinfection of equipment and materials before, during (as needed) and after programming

  • Individual equipment will be utilized for participants; equipment that may be used by more than one participant will be sufficiently sanitized.

  • All parental guardians will be required to review and agree to HERO Kids Sports Registration Forms and COVID-19 safety policies prior to participation in programming 

  • We strongly recommend families and partners follow CDC guidelines in partnership with HERO in an effort to provide the safest environment for our HERO kiddos to learn and play sports 

* Indicates additional information in consideration of maintaining health for all participants. Under the       circumstances if a Coach is feeling unwell or experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, families and organizational   staff will be notified immediately with a plan to substitute coaches until a negative test has been obtained. 

*Our standard Release(s) of Liability includes precautions as it pertains to COVID-19.
