Birthday Parties
What if my child is sick?
We absolutely understand! HERO will provide a makeup date for an illness.
What if the party cannot run due to inclement weather?
We understand weather can be unpredictable! HERO will provide a makeup date.
Credits and Refunds
How can I apply a gift card credit to my acccount?
Gift card credits are redeemable for any HERO program or service. Gift card credits are ineligible for a cash refund.
Elementary School Programs
What if I would like to cancel my registration?
All registrations are final. You will receive a credit on your Sawyer account to be used on future HERO programs.
What if my child is sick and cannot attend class?
Individual make up days are not possible at this time for scheduled Elementary school programs.
What if class is canceled due to inclement weather?
In partnership, HERO aligns our weather-related cancellation policies with those set by the public school system.
How do you decide coach-to-kid ratios?
We set coach-to-kid ratios with each partner to support a safe, fun experience for every child. The exact ratio can vary by program and location.
Park and Indoor Sessions
What if you need to cancel within 24 hours of registering?
Cancellation within 24 hours of registration will receive a full refund minus the processing fee. Cancellation after 24 hours of registration and prior to the session start date, may receive a gift card credit on your Sawyer account minus the processing fee.
What if class is canceled due to inclement weather OR the class has already begun and is canceled mid class?
HERO will provide 1 make-up day. If the program is already in session HERO is unable to provide a makeup date.
What if my child is sick and cannot attend class?
Eligible for 1 drop-in class at one of our other locations! Refunds & credits not available.
What happens if my group needs to cancel a session?
If your group needs to cancel a session, please let us know at least 48 hours in advance to avoid being charged. If HERO needs to cancel for any reason, we’ll provide a full refund, credit, or schedule a makeup date.
Group Session: What if my child is sick and cannot attend class?
If the participant is unable to attend due to illness, we are unable to provide a credit or refund.

Cancellation after 24 hours of registration and prior to the class date, may receive a gift card credit on your Sawyer account minus the processing fee.
Preschool Programs
What if I want to cancel my registration?
All sales are final.
What if my child no longer wants to attend class and/or hasn't participated?
Following 3 classes and the child has not attended or is noted by the coach has not participated, a one time credit on your Sawyer account minus the processing fees will be provided that may be applied towards any future HERO program.
What if my child is sick and cannot attend class?
Parent paid: Illness requires a call or email notifying HERO to receive a class credit less the processing fees. You may request one class credit per session.
Budget paid: Individual make up days or credits are not available for scheduled budget paid preschool programs.
What if class is canceled due to inclement weather?
Make up dates will be rescheduled based on HERO availability.
What are the ratios for kids to coaches?
Our core value is to provide an encouraging, safe, FUN environment for each and every kiddo in our programs, thus we prioritize Coach to kid ratio. Better ratios are believed to improve child outcomes by increasing opportunities for individual and small group interactions and educational instruction from Coaches.

Facility Cancellations
In the event that a facility cancels our rental agreement due to unforeseen circumstances beyond the control of HERO Kids Sports, payments for affected services will be credited to your Sawyer account. Credits can be applied toward any future program. We will make every effort to secure an alternative facility nearby to continue programming whenever possible.
What if my child is sick and cannot attend?
Illness requires a call/email morning of camp to receive a credit less the processing fees. Requests for credit after the date of camp missed will not be honored.
What if HERO cancels due to inclement weather?
In the instance the weather is severe and camp needs to be cancelled. We can provide a credit to your Sawyer account or transfer the camp to another future camp.
Does HERO require immunization records?
Per CDC requirements, an immunization record or certificate of exemption must be uploaded to your Sawyer account prior to the camp start date.
What if my child has a medical condition or allergy?
If your child has a known allergy or requires medication at camp, please notify our team as soon as possible so we can review and collect the required documentation.

Summer Camps
Summer Camp Parent Handbook
What if I need to change an Early Bird summer camp registration?
Early Bird registrations are non-refundable. If you contact us by May 1, we can help you transfer your camp dates, based on availability, at no extra cost.
What if I want to cancel my order?
All registrations are final unless you cancel within 48 hours of registering and receive a full refund minus the processing fee.
Can I move your camp week to a different date?
Yes, you can switch your camp week to another available date. If you request the change before June 1, there is a $10 processing fee. After June 1, the fee is $20.
What if I want to transfer camp to another family?
We absolutely welcome transfers between friends and families. Please see transfer fee policy for associated fees.
What should I do if my child misses a week of camp due to illness?
If your child misses a week of camp due to illness, please email us on the first day of camp to let us know. With a physician’s note, we’ll provide a credit or help transfer to another week if space is available.
Transferring between half & full day within the same week of camp
Transferring from HALF to FULL day camp you will be charged the difference to the card on file.
Transferring from FULL to HALF day the remaining balance will be added as a credit to your Sawyer account.
Can you book only part of a summer camp week?
Summer Camps are usually offered as a full-week experience only, unless the listing says otherwise. If you’re looking for a different option, check the camp details before you book.
What are the ratios for kids to coaches?
We follow state ratio guidelines to ensure a safe and fun environment for all kiddos.
4-5yo = 1:12
6-11yo = 1:15
Do you require immunization records?

What to Bring
What should my child wear and bring to class or camp?
Please send your child in comfortable play clothes and sneakers, and bring a water bottle. If a specific program needs anything extra, we’ll note it in the class or camp details.
Program Details
Do kids need prior sports experience to join?
No experience is needed. Our programs are built for all skill levels, from first-timers to kids who already love being active. We focus on fun, confidence, and the basics of each sport.
Is HERO Kids Sports competitive?
No. HERO is a non-competitive program focused on fundamentals, teamwork, confidence, and having fun. We want every child to feel successful, supported, and excited to keep moving.
What sports are included in the HERO curriculum?
HERO offers an 11-sport curriculum that introduces kids to a variety of sports in a fun, encouraging way. The exact sports included can vary by program, location, and session length, so the class or camp details will always have the most up-to-date information.
What ages can participate in HERO Kids Sports?
HERO Kids Sports programs are designed for children ages 2–12, with select programs beginning as young as 18 months old. Some classes, camps, or events may have a smaller age range, so please review the program listing for the specific age requirements before registering.
We also offer customized parent-and-child classes, fun challenges, Game Day events, camps, and sports programs designed to keep kids active, engaged, learning, and having FUN!
Registration and Check-in
How does drop-off and pick-up work for camps?
Parents or authorized guardians should sign children in at drop-off and sign them out at pick-up. Please follow any location-specific instructions shared before your program begins.
How do I register my child for a camp or program?
You can register through the program listing for the class, camp, or event you want to join. Be sure to complete any required waivers and questions before the start date so your child is ready to participate.
Private Programs
Can HERO Kids Sports bring a private program to our school or organization?
Yes. We can bring our customizable HERO program to your school or group, along with sports equipment and expert coaches. If you do not see the sport or program you want, reach out and we’ll work with you on the best fit.
